Ferruginous Hawks prefer the arid grasslands within North America. In order to capture the intensity and beauty of this individual, I felt it best to crop him down to the most dynamic lines, shapes, and the focal point of his eyes to accentuate the penetrating stare all birds of prey seem to share.
