Intentionally surreal and heavy on the atmosphere, I wanted to create a more imagined, a more felt than witnessed image of the full moon rising in the winter. Cedar Waxwings gather for the night in the leafless sycamore. The moon seems much closer when it's just popping over the hozizon, and the hazy, foggy early evening air, still reflecting a hint of sunset, obscures the horizon and the suburban landscape.
