The light on the water and the patterns of ripples formed by the pair of foraging pintails was an irresistible subject matter and composition for me. It continues the evocation of peace and light, the perfect order and benevolent spirit of the non-manmade world. It might be a mistake to assign the human quality of friendship to these male Northern Pintails, but the appearance of contentedness and companionship says enough.
